As co-founder
of The Maven Group, a real estate development firm that specializes
in the development and redevelopment of value-added opportunities,
including those with environmental risk, challenged topography
or site history, and urban renewal of neighborhoods that pose
financial, marketplace or development risks and opportunities,
Mr. Schooler has extensive experience in overall property valuation
for project acquisition, economic development, risk management
and due diligence services. Mr. Schooler has provided expert
testimony on environmental remediation, stigmatized property
and diminution in value, and commercial
brokerage disputes.
Mr. Schooler began his career as an environmental engineer
for the Environmental Protection Agency and later for Amoco
Chemical Corporation. He then entered the real estate market
as a commercial real estate broker for Barnes, Morris, and
Pardoe Inc., establishing the firm’s retail sales group.
Mr. Schooler has an M.B.A. from the Wharton
School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Energy
Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S.
in chemical engineering from the University of Maryland.
